At the first night of her new Las Vegas residency, Jennifer Lopez joked about her love life and even quite cleverly hinted at her ex-husband Ben Affleck.
During the Dec. 30 opening of her Up All Night concerts at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace, the 56-year-old “Let’s Get Loud” singer reminisced about how much everything had changed since she had her last Vegas residency at Planet Hollywood’s Zappos Theater.
“It’s a really big honor to be asked back. Would you believe it’s been 10 years, 10 years since my last residency here. Almost 10 years to the day. It was in January. That went by in a flash, didn’t it?” she said to the audience.
Following this, she said, “And to top it all off, I’ve only been married twice during this time,” revealing herself as the joker and the crowd cheering and ​‍​‌‍​‍‌​‍​‌‍​‍‌laughing.

Jennifer Lopez had the audience laughing on opening night of her Up All Night Las Vegas residency by making a joke about her marriage to Ben Affleck.
She joked about her marriages, saying, “I’ve only been married twice” since her last Vegas run, then quickly corrected herself: “That’s not true. It was only once. It felt like twice,” which got a lot of laughs from the audience.
“I’m just playing. I’m just playing. I’m just playing. We’re done and we just… It’s fine,” she said adding a playful kick to the line and the drummer hitting the cymbal for the comic effect.
Lopez then took the matter seriously by saying: “It’s all good. The good news is that I’m learning and growing and we’re in our happy era. I’m in my happy era.”
Lopez first dated Argo star Ben Affleck, 53, from 2002 to 2004 after they met on the set of Gigli. They got back together in 2021 and secretly married at A Little White Wedding Chapel in July 2022. On the two-year anniversary of the big wedding reception they held at his Georgia compound in August 2024, she filed for ​‍​‌‍​‍‌​‍​‌‍​‍‌divorce.

Opening night of her Up All Night Las Vegas residency, Jennifer Lopez took another tour in her love story for chuckles and relevant points.
Lopez admitted that, even after their breakup, she and Ben Affleck still play a role in each other’s lives. The couple was seen going shopping in Los Angeles on Dec. 21 accompanied by his 13-year-old son Samuel, whom he has with ex-wife Jennifer Garner. Besides Samuel, Affleck also has daughters Violet, 20, and Seraphina, 16, with Garner, while Lopez is a mother to twins Max and Emme, 17, from her marriage with ex-husband Marc Anthony.
Additionally, Lopez brought up that marriage too while she was performing. “I do love to dance. And if you take anything from this show tonight, I hope it’s this. I have a little story to share. It was after my third divorce — that’s when I really started getting good at it, by the way,” she revealed, referring to her split with the “My Baby You” singer Anthony, 57, and her two previous marriages to Ojani Noa and Cris ​‍​‌‍​‍‌​‍​‌‍​‍‌Judd.

Speaking in Las Vegas Jennifer Lopez talked about how after her divorce from Marc Anthony life was very challenging for her when she was a single mother of 3-year-old twins Max and Emme.
“We’re talking about a very rough time. That really was a very difficult time,” she admitted to the audience. “And I was at that point where I felt like giving up on everything. It was the first time for me being a single mom to two little three-year-old twins.”
Lopez shared that she went back to a piece of advice of her mentor, the late Louise Hay, whom she called author. “Louise told me ‘Jennifer, you’re a dancer, right?’ I responded ‘Yeah, I am.’ She continued, ‘When you’re learning to dance and you keep getting the steps wrong, what do you do?’ I said, ‘I just keep going until I get the steps right.’ And she replied, ‘That’s right, Jennifer. Always keep dancing.’”
Later, Lopez invited the audience to take the message to heart, “And I would like to do that for you – no matter how hard life is, just keep dancing and dancing and dancing again and ​‍​‌‍​‍‌​‍​‌‍​‍‌again.”
