Drake Shares Footage of His Mansion Flooding: ‘This Better Be Espresso Martini’

Drake Faces Flooding at Home

There was a new challenge facing the famous Canadian rapper, Drake, whose mansion got flooded on Tuesday July 16. Despite the mishap, the 37-year-old artist still managed to make a joke out of it. He humorously captioned an Instagram Stories video he shared, “This better be Espresso Martini.” The clip portrayed his home which was flooded after heavy rain in Canada. In that Instagram recording, we see someone dressed in all-black fighting with French doors while muddy flood water continues to gush into his room. The sound of water rushing is audible as if adding chaos scene. Drake tries using a broom to divert the flow but his efforts seem insufficient as the water reaches half way up his calves. The video captures the urgency and suddenness of this flooding situation.

Although Drake did not mention where he was at exactly in the video, one could tell that Toronto had been experiencing severe weather lately. This city and Greater Toronto Area have had massive rainfall causing widespread flooding. Recent reports said heavy downpours led to disruptions and problems for inhabitants in Toronto’s subway system. On Monday July 15th, Environment Canada lifted their warning about heavy rainfall in Toronto and surrounding areas. This followed several days of continuous rain and the resulting floods which affected various parts of the city. However, people like Drake are still being affected by its aftermath even after the warning.

Drake’s Resilience

But through these very difficult times, Drake managed to joke around showing how resilient he can be under pressure of his mansion that got flooded. Through his Instagram post we were able to understand how deep his flooding went; as well as how he handles situations when they do not go according to plan: with humor and coolness under fire! Some fans even expressed concern for him after seeing these images- indicating just what extent this storm has had on everyone living around here.

According to meteorological agency, heavy rains can cause flash floods and pooling of water on roads. Therefore this creates dangerous driving situations and possible washouts near rivers, creeks or culverts, so everybody should be on the lookout. It was also said in the news that there could still be more rain for at least another day, but most of the bad weather should clear up by Friday, bringing some relief to those affected.

A Glimpse Inside Drake’s “The Embassy”

The Toronto mansion called “The Embassy” was showcased to his fans in 2020 through an Architectural Digest piece. This is a magnificent compound that Drake describes as being meant to endure for another century; built with such scale so as not to fade with time. “This structure has to stand for 100 years because I’m building it in my hometown. I wanted it to have a monumental scale and feel,” said the rapper explaining his wish for a legacy.
The NBA regulation-size indoor basketball court has been crowned with a 21-square-foot pyramidal skylight designed into this custom built 50,000 sq.ft residence by Ferris Rafauli. This also provides natural light giving extra grandeur and beauty to the house too. In addition, the complex designs and luxurious finishes mirror the vision of Drake about making an enduring remarkable landmark in Toronto.

Drake has a luxury and design marvel in his Toronto mansion that got flooded called “The Embassy”. One of the things that stand out here is a great room with forty-four feet high ceiling. It happens to be in this room that there is a custom-made grand piano and a chandelier first made for the Metropolitan Opera House in New York City in 1963. This chandelier consists of over twenty thousand hand-cut Swarovski crystals, which makes it the second largest world installation of its kind ever. The detailed workmanship and historical import of these parts contribute to make the room more excellent.

High-End Decor and Materials

In spite of the entire house being splendid, Drake mostly likes his bedroom. The suite spreads over 3,200 square feet with an additional covered terrace spanning 1,100 square feet. Here he calls it his sanctuary where he can unwind after every day and find motivation each morning. It is a luxurious bed that gives one floating sensation; while taking shower allows you to think about all your problems as you rinse off; and upon dressing you’d want to spend some private hours talking yourself into self-belief by viewing what’s inside this large wardrobe.

According to him, “Rich Baby Daddy” emphasizes on how luxurious his home is. Everything from floorings to ceilings within this mansion reveals magnificent workmanship and dedication by Drake himself in building his property. He also says opulence is displayed through high-quality materials used throughout the house along with intricate finishes. His years of painstaking efforts have culminated in spacious rooms with ornate finishing touches, evident from any angle one looks within this mansion.

His estate does not only showcase wealth but also demonstrates what he has been through to reach where he is now. This means every element chosen for “The Embassy” was built by Drake to last forever as a reflection of individual style together with legacy purposes behind their selection. Thus, these are signs of success since they are to remain a pinnacle of his achievements and allow him to have an expensive, but intimate house that he can call home.
