During the 70’s this district was the center of the flower power movement. Another insider tip is a short sailing trip through the San Francisco Bay, preferably right at sunset.

Generally, the months of May through October are considered the best time to take a trip to San Francisco. During the summer months, the number of sunshine hours is the highest and there is the least amount of rain. It should be noted, however, that San Francisco is enveloped by a thick blanket of fog during the summer and early fall, but it usually dissipates around midday.

Basically, the nightlife in the city of San Francisco is very varied and diverse. The Castro district is particularly creative and cosmopolitan. If you want to visit a really varied party, this is the place to be. In the SOMA district, the bars and restaurants are also open until the early hours of the morning. More elegant and chic is the Financial District and the Marina district. In the USA, the entrance to clubs and the consumption of alcohol is only allowed from the age of 21. So you should have your ID ready for this purpose when you are out in the evening.
