D4vd’s Manager Denies Rumors Amid Ongoing Investigation
D4vd’s manager is reacting to the rumors surrounding the death of Rivas Hernandez Celeste.
Josh Marshall, the singer’s manager, who is also known as JMogul, responded to the uproar after the body of Hernandez was found in a Tesla car that was registered to D4vd (David Anthony Burke is the real name). One of the rumors that he tried to refute was the idea of him being called by the family of Hernandez in 2024 about her disappearance.
“I have been through a hard time with my family as I am a father of three,” Marshall said in the comments of a TikTok video that talked about the case – comments that he later confirmed to LA Mag as his own. “I have never received any emails. I was completely unaware of the situation, and I am not in California.”
Marshall Clarifies His Role
Marshall further explained that his work with D4vd was of low profile. “I usually work remotely 90-95% of the time and my job is such that I am not required to have a lot of interaction with any of my clients, David included,” he mentioned. “There are quite a number of people who work with him daily, and I am not one of them.”
He described the incident as “terrible for so many and for her family,” and said, “I hope the right authorities will find out what happened very soon.”
After stating that “most of what is said are merely speculations and allegations,” Marshall ended with a personal note: “Meanwhile, I am with my family and we are supporting each other emotionally in the wake of this tragedy.”
New Details From Police
The manager of the music industry has made a statement while the authorities provide further details about the state and the sequence of events leading to the death of Celeste Rivas Hernandez. Rivas Hernandez was reported missing in April 2024, and on Sept. 30, police said the 15-year-old may have been dead “for several weeks” before her body was discovered on Sept. 8, according to NBC News—thus, it can be suspected that she was a 14-year-old girl when she died.
“The vehicle had actually been left at the place from which it was removed for several weeks,” the police added, “so, Ms. Rivas Hernandez might have been dead for several weeks without the discovery of her body.”
Ongoing Investigation and Family’s Grief
The probe of the death of Celeste Rivas Hernandez is still active. “The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner has not yet identified the cause or the way of Ms. Rivas Hernandez’s death,” the police said in a statement. “Therefore, the possibility of any criminal guilt, except for the concealment of her body, is still unknown.”
It was confirmed to NBC News by a D4vd representative—to whose tour the “Romantic Homicide” singer has canceled following the discovery—that the artist “has been notified” of the case and “is fully cooperating with the authorities.” Besides, he hasn’t said anything other. Meanwhile, the parents of Rivas Hernandez are sad because the teenager has gone and they remember her as “a beautiful daughter, sister, cousin, and friend”
