Each year during the return of the fall equinox, there is a short window of time where the positioning of the sun hits the city just right, creating brilliant lights that dance across Chicago’s gorgeous buildings.<\/p>\n

This occurrence is informally known as ‘Chicagohenge,’ where the sun sets in a way that highlights Chicago’s gridlines and makes the city shine. Not to mention, it’s a great excuse to stroll the Loop for prime picture-taking. As if Chicago couldn’t get any prettier, right?<\/p>\n

Whether you want some cool new pics for the ‘gram or just want to take in the city’s beauty, this is a perfect weekend to do so. It’s that in-between-summer-and-fall time of year where the weather’s in the comfortable 70s, and the return of Chicagohenge will make the scene even better.<\/p>\n

The official time for the event is this Sunday, September 25 and the best time to catch it is between 6pm and 7pm. If you can’t make it then, don’t worry. You’ll still be able to faintly see Chicagohenge take place in the early evenings through the end of this month.<\/p>\n
