What if I told you there was a massive beer fest that takes place at Soldier Field every year? Well there is\u2026 I think. I mean it has to be real right? Right?<\/p>\n

If there are two things I love in life, they\u2019re beer and football. If you aren\u2019t able to convince your wife to let you go to the NFL Draft Town<\/a> while it\u2019s here, this is really the only other football(-ish) event for a while, so take advantage. Luckily, being able to stand on Soldier Field with nothing to do but drink beer is about as good as it gets. Here\u2019s why you need to attend:<\/p>\n

\"\"BEEEEEER!<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Let\u2019s not kid ourselves; everyone is going here for one purpose and one purpose only, to drink beer. That\u2019s the beauty of the fest. Gone are the days where you have to find the craft beer tent in the corner of a fest to find something halfway decent to drink. There are over 200 beers to taste at the American Beer Classic. Yeah, I said OVER TWO HUNDRED beers. Let that sink in for a moment\u2026<\/p>\n

\"AmericanYou\u2019ll Learn Something!<\/strong><\/h2>\n


\n<\/strong>I\u2019m not being sarcastic here. There are several educational sessions held by the brewers themselves. Ever wonder how the entire process works from beginning to end? I\u2019d tell you more about it, but I have absolutely no idea what goes into creating the perfect brew.<\/p>\n

I\u2019m pretty great at tasting beer though, so if anyone needs help with that let me know.<\/p>\n

\"\"Location. Location. Location.<\/strong><\/h2>\n


\n<\/strong>Like I said, it\u2019s held at Soldier Field. What\u2019s so great about this? You\u2019ll be on the lakefront with a ton of bars, restaurants, and views at your disposal when you leave. I lived in the area for quite some time, and I can tell you that I loved every second of it. And if nothing else, you can go up in the stands and take pictures of the skyline. Soldier Field is an amazing place to be on a beautiful day.<\/p>\n

And the Bears won\u2019t be there to disappoint you (sorry Bears, I love you).<\/p>\n

\"wurstfest\"Food<\/strong><\/h2>\n


\n<\/strong>What good would Soldier Field be if you couldn\u2019t eat their classic stadium food? Hot dogs, burgers, pretzels, and nachos: all the food you\u2019d ever want if you happened to become inebriated (we don\u2019t judge).<\/p>\n

The event begins on May 9th<\/sup> at 11 am. There are multiple sessions and prices vary. You can find more info here<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The American Beer Classic also offers discounted rates for designated drivers, so don\u2019t even think about drinking and driving. Being placed in handcuffs would make the fest seem a lot more realistic right away.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
