C2E2<\/a><\/span> is the ultimate blend of comic, cosplay, and pop culture all into one convention in downtown Chicago. If you are into pop culture, then you don\u2019t want to miss C2E2! As the largest pop convention in the Midwest, it brings together lovers of anime, video games, cosplay, comic books, tv shows, wrestling, comedy, and much more into one fun-filled weekend. <\/span><\/p>\n

From February 28 to March 1, you can stop by the McCormick Place in downtown Chicago to check out the speculator event yourself. Some of the anime guests that will make an appearance include Arryn Zech from RWBY<\/i> and Colleen Clinkenbeard from My Hero Academia<\/i>. Notable comic guests include Aaron Lopresti of Wonder Woman Fame and Al Ewing, a writer on the Immortal Hulk team. Headlining entertainment guests include Matt Smith from Doctor Who,<\/i> and Karl Urban of The Boys and Lord of the Rings <\/i>fame. Gaming guests include notable Critical Role<\/i> voice actors Matthew Mercer and Laura Bailey.<\/i><\/span><\/p>\n

There will be dozens of panels<\/span><\/a> available on a variety of subjects. You can check at the Umbrella Academy cast as they do a Q&A, Making Comics: For Women by Women, and Diversity in Cosplay. While seating is limited, you can still catch the panels through the live streaming option. <\/span><\/p>\n

And if you love cosplay, you\u2019ll have to stop by the Cosplay Central, which is dedicated solely to costume design, crafts, and characters. Some of the panels include tips and tricks on how to create cosplay. There is even a cosplay repair shop if you need some help fixing your costume. You can also watch the C2E2 Crown Championships of Cosplay, which is the largest cosplay competition in the world. Cosplay champions from around the world will compete for cash prizes and the title. Afterward, visit the professional step and repeat so you can take a fun picture with you and your friends.<\/span><\/p>\n

Make sure to bring cash! While there will be a few ATMs located in McCormick Place, you might experience long lines. Cash is the only form of payment that is accepted at the autograph area, and if you want to purchase a photo op during the show, you\u2019ll likely have to pay cash as well. <\/span><\/p>\n

Buying your badges<\/a><\/span> in advance and online can save you $10. One-day pass costs between $35 and $45, or you can purchase a 3-day badge. Other packages are available. All badges purchased after January 6 will have to be picked up at Will Call. <\/span><\/p>\n
