Bring a sense of wonder into your holiday season through a spectacular light festival. Making its US debut, Lightscape<\/a> has come from London to bring you a night filled with light, color, imagination, and sound. The Chicago Botanic Garden<\/a> has introduced this brand new event to transform the Garden into a magical place.<\/span><\/p>\n

As you wander down the mile-long path, you\u2019ll encounter a magical choir of singing trees, a waterfall of lights, ribbons full of colors, and much more. Attendees will get a chance to be in the middle of the action as they walk down a tunnel of lights. While there, you can even warm up in one of the cafes along the path or toast a few marshmallows over the fire.<\/span><\/p>\n

Because it is an outdoor event, be prepared to spend at least an hour outside as you take photos and view the dazzling display of lights. Instagram photos of the Chicago Botanic Garden’s Lightscape are encouraged!<\/span><\/p>\n

The new event, Lightscape, will take the place of the beloved \u201cWonderland Express<\/a>\u201d\u2014 the holiday train exhibition that was a staple at the Chicago Botanic Garden for more than a decade. This exhibition was switched out because CGB wanted to do something more ambitious, especially considering how popular other light events like ZooLights<\/a> at the Lincoln Park Zoo have become. <\/span><\/p>\n

It is recommended that you purchase tickets beforehand for this event because it might sell out. The price depends on the day you go. Prices can be as low as $19 for adults and $10 for kids. Peak pricing can reach up to $25 for adults and $13 for kids. However, if you purchase online beforehand, you can save $2 off the ticket price. <\/span><\/p>\n

The Chicago Botanic Garden’s Lightscape is open from 4:30 to 10 pm, with on-site parking available for an additional fee. The route is wheelchair accessible, and strollers are also allowed. Check online<\/span><\/a> for more specific information on ticket prices, schedules, and parking information.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
