From the dyeing of the Chicago River to the numerous festivities around the city, there\u2019s a pot of gold at the end of everyone\u2019s rainbow.<\/p>\n<h6><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.chicagostpatsparade.com\/\">Dyeing the Chicago River<\/a><\/strong><\/h6>\n<p><em>Saturday, March 12<br \/>\n<\/em><em>9:00 am<br \/>\n<\/em><em>Chicago River (Columbus &amp; Wacker)<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Among the St. Patrick\u2019s Day festivities in the city, none is more well known than the notorious river dyeing. Join 400,000 others as 45 pounds of eco-friendly green dye is poured into the water below. The green hue won\u2019t last all day, so make sure you\u2019re punctual.<\/p>\n<h6><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.chicagostpatsparade.com\/parade-and-river-dyeing.html\">St. Patrick\u2019s Day Downtown Parade<\/a><\/strong><\/h6>\n<p><em>Saturday, March 12<br \/>\n<\/em><em>12 pm<br \/>\n<\/em><em>Columbus (between Balbo &amp; Monroe)<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Everyone is a little Irish on St. Patrick\u2019s Day. Don your green apparel, sing a ballad, drink a beer, and have a bit o\u2019 fun at the 61<sup>st<\/sup> annual parade. The floats start at Columbus and work their way north through <a href=\"https:\/\/urbanmatter.com\/chicago\/grant-park\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Grant Park<\/a> beginning at noon.<\/p>\n<h6><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.southsideirishparade.org\/\">South Side Irish Parade<\/a><\/strong><\/h6>\n<p><em>Sunday, March 13<br \/>\n<\/em><em>12 pm<br \/>\n<\/em><em>Western Ave (between 103<sup>rd<\/sup> &amp; 115<sup>th<\/sup> St.)<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Join in with 150,000 other festivalgoers and line the streets of Beverly for the South Side parade. The fun-filled event focuses on family and of course, Irish heritage. Plus, it\u2019s always a great excuse to drink at the local bars.<\/p>\n<h6><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.northwestsideirish.org\/\">Northwest Side Irish Parade<\/a><\/strong><\/h6>\n<p><em>Sunday, March 13<\/em><br \/>\n<em>12 pm<\/em><br \/>\n<em>Onahan School (6634 W. Raven St.)<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Not many parades come equipped with after-parties, but this one does. The parade itself runs for about an hour, but the festivities afterwards go until 5 pm.
