They finished sixteen games better than us. They’re always well-coached and fundamentally sound. We lost 99 games and are in full rebuild mode.<\/p>\n

Logan Webb is one of the best pitchers in baseball. Drew Thorpe is trying to earn a rotation spot. Thairo Estrada and Michael Conforto provide veteran stability. Colson Montgomery and Luis Robert Jr. are trying to prove they can lead a rebuild.<\/p>\n

The Giants are what smart organizations look like\u2014they develop talent, make calculated moves, and stay competitive year after year. We’re hoping our rebuild works out better than the last few years have gone.<\/p>\n

          Drew Thorpe Competes Against Logan Webb<\/strong>
          \nWebb is one of the best in the game. Thorpe doesn’t need to out-pitch him (unrealistic), but he needs to show he can compete. Three or four quality innings against the Giants’ lineup would be progress.<\/p>\n

          \nMontgomery’s had a solid spring. Against quality competition, another good performance keeps building toward Opening Day.<\/p>\n

          \nAnother chance to prove he deserves an Opening Day roster spot against major league pitching.<\/p>\n

          Logan Webb will dominate with elite command and deceptive stuff. Thairo Estrada will work professional at-bats. Michael Conforto might drive one deep.<\/p>\n

          The Giants’ organizational competence and fundamentally sound baseball will test us. They don’t beat themselves, and they execute.<\/p>\n

          White Sox Fan Prediction: We Get Handled<\/h2>\n

          Final Score: Giants 6, White Sox 4<\/strong><\/p>\n

          Logan Webb throws five scoreless innings, making our hitters look completely overmatched. Drew Thorpe battles but gives up four runs in four innings\u2014respectable against this lineup, but not competitive.<\/p>\n

          Colson Montgomery goes 1-for-3 and looks overmatched at times against Webb’s stuff. Luis Robert Jr. crushes a solo homer (then exits as a precaution, of course).<\/p>\n

          The Giants’ veteran execution and depth take over. We compete early, then the talent and experience gap shows.<\/p>\n

          The Giants are sixteen games better than us. They’re fundamentally sound and well-coached. If we can compete with them for even five or six innings, that’s progress.<\/p>\n
