This Tigers lineup is averaging 4.8 runs per game for a reason.<\/p>\n The Tigers are 81-61 and fighting for their postseason lives. They can’t afford to drop games to teams like us, which means they’ll bring their A-game.<\/p>\n This isn’t about the playoffs – that ship sailed months ago. But for a fan base that’s endured one of the most disappointing seasons in recent memory, watching this team win six straight gives us something to feel good about.<\/p>\n More importantly, it’s showing us glimpses of what some of these players can do when everything clicks. Sosa’s power, Meidroth’s development, and the veteran leadership are all building blocks for the future.<\/p>\n We’re facing one of baseball’s best pitchers in a hostile environment against a team that desperately needs to win. Perez gives us a quality start, Sosa provides a clutch homer, and our bullpen – which has been much better during this streak – holds on for dear life.<\/p>\n Skubal is elite, but even elite pitchers have off nights. If we can scratch across 3-4 runs and get into their bullpen, anything can happen.<\/p>\n Every at-bat against elite competition like Skubal is valuable development time for players like Meidroth and our other young guys.<\/p>\n After the way this season started, showing we can compete against playoff teams says something about the character in this clubhouse.<\/p>\n This streak has been the most fun we’ve had watching White Sox baseball all year. Extending it against a Cy Young candidate would be magical.<\/p>\n We’re massive underdogs facing one of baseball’s best pitchers on the road against a playoff team. Logic says this streak ends tonight.<\/p>\n But streaks aren’t about logic – they’re about momentum, confidence, and finding ways to win when everything says you shouldn’t. We’ve done it six times in a row already.<\/p>\n Why not seven?<\/p>\n Regardless of tonight’s outcome, this six-game winning streak has given White Sox fans something to smile about in an otherwise forgettable season.
