Both AL Central teams are struggling this year, making this a pretty even matchup on paper. First pitch is 7:10 p.m. ET.<\/p>\n<h2>Game Info<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>When:<\/strong> Saturday, August 23, 2025 at 7:10 p.m. ET<\/li>\n<li><strong>Where:<\/strong> Rate Field, Chicago<\/li>\n<li><strong>TV:<\/strong> CHSN, MNNT<\/li>\n<li><strong>Pitchers:<\/strong> Mick Abel (MIN) vs Davis Martin (CWS)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Betting Lines<\/h2>\n<p>This one&#8217;s basically a coin flip according to Vegas. The Twins are barely favored at -110, with Chicago right behind at -109. The run total sits at 9.5.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Moneyline:<\/strong> Twins -110, White Sox -109<\/li>\n<li><strong>Run Line:<\/strong> Twins -1.5 (+144), White Sox +1.5 (-174)<\/li>\n<li><strong>Total:<\/strong> Over 9.5 (-101), Under 9.5 (-120)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Most prediction models give Minnesota about a 52% chance to win, so it really could go either way. The White Sox are getting some love to cover the +1.5 spread though.<\/p>\n<h2>How They&#8217;ve Been Playing<\/h2>\n<p>Chicago has been rough as underdogs all year, winning just 35% of those games. They&#8217;re 2-8 in their last 10 as dogs. Offensively, they&#8217;re near the bottom of baseball &#8211; 23rd in batting average (.238) and 27th in runs scored.<\/p>\n<p>Minnesota wins about half their games when favored, which sounds about right for this team. They&#8217;re 39-38 in games where they&#8217;re -110 favorites or better, but they&#8217;ve dropped three of their last four as favorites.<\/p>\n<h2>Key Hitters<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Byron Buxton<\/strong> leads Minnesota in pretty much everything &#8211; .272 average, 25 homers, 62 RBIs. <strong>Trevor Larnach<\/strong> has been solid too with 16 home runs and a .246 average.<\/p>\n<p>For Chicago, <strong>Lenyn Sosa<\/strong> has been their best hitter with 17 homers, 57 RBIs and a .272 average. <strong>Luis Robert<\/strong> is still dangerous despite hitting just .222, with 13 home runs on the year.<\/p>\n<h2>On the Mound<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Mick Abel<\/strong> makes his Twins debut after posting a 5.04 ERA in six starts with his previous team. <strong>Davis Martin<\/strong> gets the ball for Chicago &#8211; he&#8217;s been decent with a 3.94 ERA and usually gives his team at least five innings.<\/p>\n<h2>The Pick<\/h2>\n<p>Hard to get excited about either team, honestly.
