Driving up the entrance to the Grand Geneva Resort & Spa<\/a> in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, you feel the stress melting away. The gorgeous grounds across 1,300 acres, stables, and golf courses surround you, creating a perfect escape.<\/p>\n

The resort is renowned as a spectacular weekend getaway from Chicago. Once part of Hugh Hefner\u2019s expanding empire, it opened as the Playboy Club in 1968. The golf courses and ski hills remain in this idyllic lakeside setting.<\/p>\n

The Grand Geneva Resort & Spa has just undergone extensive renovations in their 356-room resort, including guestrooms, bathrooms and the lobby lounge. Public areas were remodeled in 2021 as well as its new outdoor seating area, the Landing, last year. All I can say is WOW!<\/p>\n

The newly transformed guest rooms and suites feature a warm contemporary design, which complements the AAA Four-Diamond property\u2019s serene woodland views.<\/p>\n

The refurbishments usher in new levels of luxury for guests with clean, contemporary design and natural colors that bring a sense of the outdoor setting in.<\/p>\n

Here you\u2019ll discover cushy white linens on a platform bed that you sink right into. Marble baths with modern Kohler fixtures and soft towels add to the ambiance.<\/p>\n

Contemporary amenities include built-in outlets and USB ports in the night stands, coffee maker with complimentary pods and a mini-fridge to keep your water bottles (and leftovers) cool.<\/p>\n

Get a room with a balcony and you can sit outside and enjoy the view of the pool, water fountains and golf courses. You\u2019ll have a front-row seat to the weekend fireworks display.<\/p>\n

Go with the New York Strip Steak, grilled to perfection or order the Skuna Bay Salmon, served with citrus-mint yogurt to balance the flavors. Perfect sides include marble potatoes, asparagus or King Crab with Lobster Mac. The piece de resistance for dessert was the New York Cheesecake with caramel sauce and berries. Let the Salted Caramel Ganache Chocolate Cake also tempt you.<\/p>\n
