Lollapalooza turns 25 this year, and it\u2019s celebrating in a big way.<\/span><\/i><\/h6>\n

To commemorate Lollapalooza\u2019s<\/a> 25<\/span>th<\/span> birthday, the festival will expand to include a fourth day next year.<\/span><\/p>\n

Yes, you read that correctly. <\/span>Lollapalooza 2016 will be four days long.<\/b><\/p>\n

Here\u2019s what Lollapalooza founder, Perry Farrell had to say about it:<\/span><\/p>\n

\"Lollapalooza\"<\/a>\u201cIt\u2019s our 25th Anniversary and we wanted to do something really special and different for our fans. There\u2019s a lot of really great music coming out in 2016; with the abundance of talent that wanted to help us celebrate 25 years we got to thinking\u2026\u2018How are we going to fit all those great artists in one weekend?\u2019 Then we thought about what a special day Thursday has become. When the party can\u2019t wait for the weekend, the movers and shakers make it happen on Thursday! So, we\u2019ve put together an entire additional day of music to celebrate our milestone year. It\u2019s going to be a fantastic party!\u201d<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

The massive Grant Park<\/a> music festival will feature over 170 musical acts from Thursday, July 28<\/span>th<\/span> to Sunday, July 31. Four-day general admission tickets will cost $335 while single-day tickets will be priced at $120. Last year\u2019s event featured headliners Paul McCartney, Metallica, Florence & the Machine, Sam Smith, Bassnectar, and The Weeknd with eight stages of other musical acts to fill in the gaps.<\/span><\/p>\n

Of course, you can\u2019t yet buy tickets (they won\u2019t be available until Spring 2016). Still, you\u2019ll want to get on it right away, as they typically sell out in a matter of hours, if not minutes. You can trust we\u2019ll be back with more info on this as it becomes available to the public, so hang tight.<\/span><\/p>\n

Of course, the big question now is who will headline in 2016? It\u2019s all just speculation at this point, though record-breaking artist Adele would surely draw some enormous crowds.<\/span><\/p>\n
