Posters imploring citizens to “wake up” to the truth that birds have been replaced by government surveillance drones are cropping up all over Chicago and other major cities across the nation.<\/p>\n
“Birds Aren’t Real” is a conspiracy theory movement started by\u00a0Peter McIndoe, who claims that the government forced the extinction of all birds, starting way back in the ’60s through an Area 51-type project. Apparently, the last bird was killed off in 2001 and every feathered creature you see in the skies today is actually a government drone spying on the American public.<\/p>\n
The main message behind the “Bird’s Aren’t Real” movement is that\u00a0Americans\u00a0are living in a “post-truth era”,\u00a0which is slightly ironic because many of his followers aren’t true believers. And honestly, it begs the question of whether or not this will lead to animal cruelty in future iterations of the movement.<\/p>\n
It seems that the group is against liberal media<\/a>, but doesn’t seem to agree with Trump,\u00a0either. McIndoe has made claims that Barron Trump is actually the first bird-human hybrid<\/a> and has been living in a nest for the past eleven years. Apparently, the president is fully aware of this and made the arrangements himself. Oh, and he’s secretly a bird<\/a>, too.<\/p>\n McIndoe calls his 44k Instagram<\/a>\u00a0followers and members of his movement the “bird brigade”.
