Legendary musician and songwriter\u00a0Mark Knopfler\u00a0will celebrate the release of his new record, Tracker, due March 17 on Verve Records, with a North American tour that includes a\u00a0Chicago Theatre\u00a0concert on Friday night,\u00a0October 2.<\/p>\n

Fans that purchase tickets to \u2018An Evening with Mark Knopfler and His Band\u2019 online will receive a physical copy of Tracker for each pair of tickets purchased. Says\u00a0Knopfler, \u2018Part of the fun is thinking what you might have a go at, for a new tour. For me, that\u2019s part of the joy of it, getting that little crew together again, and setting sail once again. It\u2019s a real adventure.\u2019<\/p>\n

Knopfler\u00a0has always viewed touring as the final part of the process running from songwriting through recording and ending upon the road performing old and new songs. MSG Entertainment and Live Nation announced that three time Grammy and Emmy nominee, comedian\u00a0Margaret Cho\u00a0will take\u00a0The Chicago Theatre\u00a0stage on\u00a0Saturday, October 3, 2015.<\/p>\n

Margaret Cho\u00a0has been developing brand new material over the last several months. \u201cI’m so thrilled to announce that I will be back out on the road. This show is about insanity and about the anger I feel about everything happening in the world right now,\u201d said\u00a0Cho.<\/p>\n

A big part of\u00a0Cho\u2019s show are tributes to her \u201cfather in comedy,\u201d Robin Williams and her \u201cmother in comedy,\u201d Joan Rivers, who passed away within a month of one another.\u00a0Margaret\u00a0was very close to both of them; her friendship with Robin encouraged her to start the #BeRobin campaign to raise awareness and funds for the homeless community. Her friendship with Joan reinforced\u00a0Margaret\u2019s desire to remain fearless.<\/p>\n

Multi-Grammy Award winning, Golden Globe-nominated and acclaimed singer-songwriter\u00a0Chris Cornell<\/strong>\u00a0has announced solo acoustic tour dates for next fall, including an\u00a0October 6<\/strong>\u00a0date at\u00a0The Chicago Theatre<\/strong>. Showtime is 7:30pm.\u00a0$1 from every ticket sold will go to the Chris and Vicky Cornell Foundation, an organization that supports children facing tough challenges, including homelessness, poverty, abuse and neglect.<\/u><\/p>\n

Cornell<\/strong>\u2019s recent solo acoustic \u2018Songbook\u2019 tour attracted sellout crowds and critical acclaim worldwide. Jim Farber of the New York\u00a0<\/em>Daily News<\/em>\u00a0observed, \u201cSometimes you don’t recognize the full power of a voice until you strip everything away from it.\u201d The tour\u2019s reinterpretations of classic Cornell\u00a0<\/strong>songs are featured on his 2011 live album of the same name. His comedic style of uninformed logic has made him a regular on\u00a0Late Show with David Letterman,<\/em>\u00a0Conan<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon.<\/em><\/p>\n
