How do you bring organization to something so large? We don\u2019t really know, but luckily we aren\u2019t in charge of figuring that out. Either way, this festival isn\u2019t something you want to miss. Honestly, there are so many activities that we can\u2019t even list them all. Still, here are our top 6 reasons to attend the Magnificent Mile Shopping Festival:<\/p>\n<p><strong>1) Umm\u2026 Shopping<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Like, duh.<\/p>\n<p>Seriously though, almost any shop that you\u2019re looking to buy from is offering some type of special or deal. Everything from <a href=\"https:\/\/urbanmatter.com\/water-tower-place\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Water Tower Place<\/a> and 900 North Michigan to the <a href=\"https:\/\/urbanmatter.com\/the-shops-at-north-bridge\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Shops at North Bridge<\/a> falls under the umbrella here. Bring an extra pair of hands to hold all of those bags.<\/p>\n<p><strong>2) The Pop-Up Marketplace<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Are the hundreds upon hundreds of shops just not doing it for you? Behold, the Pop-Up Marketplace, the Genie\u2019s favorite reason to check this fest out. The marketplace offers a variety of free activities and product samples at Pioneer Court (401N. Michigan) on Friday and Saturday, Sept. 4-5. Shops include <a href=\"https:\/\/urbanmatter.com\/nordstrom\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Nordstrom<\/a>, American Girl Place &amp; Brookfield Zoo, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.themagnificentmile.com\/shopping-festival-calendar\/the-magnificent-mile-pop-up-marketplace\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">among others<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>3) Women\u2019s Half Marathon &amp; 5K<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Who\u2019s ready to run? The Women\u2019s Half Marathon is the only event in the entire world to include the <a href=\"https:\/\/urbanmatter.com\/magnificent-mile\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Mag Mile<\/a> as it\u2019s centerpiece, and you can join thousands of other women who seek to conquer the area like never before. Of course, a half marathon is quite a long way, so they\u2019re also offering up the 5K option. Let\u2019s see what you\u2019ve got!<\/p>\n<p><strong>4) Shake Out \u201cFun Run\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A completely free \u201cwarm up\u201d kicks Saturday morning off the right way, offering a few mile run and \u201cshake out\u201d that you&#8217;re welcome to join whether you\u2019re participating in the longer runs or not. It\u2019s hosted by Chicago Endurance Sports Coaches, meaning it\u2019s not a bad place to pick up some new techniques. Plus, the first 100 participants who arrive get a free shirt<\/p>\n<p><strong>5) Deals, Deals, Deals<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Aside from the numerous shopping deals we\u2019ve mentioned again and again now, numerous other businesses have rolled out the red carpet for festivalgoers this weekend.
