Although the Hackney\u2019s location in the South Loop has closed its doors, a fast-casual version, <a href=\"https:\/\/eathax.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Hax<\/a>, is opening. Brought to you by the owners of Flaco\u2019s Tacos and <a href=\"https:\/\/urbanmatter.com\/chicago\/gordos-ice-cream\/\" target=\"_blank\">Gordo\u2019s Homemade Ice Cream Bars<\/a>, Hax will feature counter service and a smaller menu than the original Hackney\u2019s but the family recipes, of course, are the same ones that have been passed down for four generations.
