According to the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.adlerplanetarium.org\/adler-after-dark\/#b8hzGBTZivmrBc2y.97\" target=\"_blank\">website<\/a>, the event provides:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Full access and admission to museum exhibits and galleries<\/li>\n<li>Unlimited sky shows in three state-of-the-art theaters<\/li>\n<li>Special guests and lectures<\/li>\n<li>Stellar hands-on educational programs<\/li>\n<li>Access to the Doane Observatory (weather permitting)<\/li>\n<li>Live entertainment<\/li>\n<li>The best view of the skyline from anywhere in Chicago<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>This Month<\/h3>\n<p>Adler After Dark offers a different experience every month to keep things fresh. This month (August) the theme is &#8220;Solar Eclipse (of the Heart)&#8221;, which is essentially the planetarium&#8217;s way of having an 80&#8217;s night. Things that are special to the event this month are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Encouraged 80&#8217;s wear<\/li>\n<li>Pinhole projector construction<\/li>\n<li>Eclipse viewing glasses<\/li>\n<li>Specialty cocktails<\/li>\n<li>Open viewing of the newest exhibit &#8220;Chasing Eclipse&#8221;<\/li>\n<li>80&#8217;s Dance party<\/li>\n<li>Sky show<\/li>\n<li>Special talk on cosmic phenomenon<\/li>\n<li>\u201cEclipse,\u201d a multimedia performance that features NASA imagery, narration, and music performed by Axiom Brass<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>When it is<\/h3>\n<p>August 17th from 6:30pm to 1o:30pm.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Upcoming Events<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Adler After Dark: Saturn Saloon (September 21)<\/li>\n<li>Adler After Dark: Adler Afraid of the Dark?
