Meehan is partnering with <a href=\"http:\/\/www.heislerhospitality.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Heisler Hospitality<\/a> to bring Prairie School to Fulton Market this summer. Okay, so Meehan is from the Chicago suburbs so who knows if he\u2019s considered a \u201ctrue New Yorker,&#8221; but Chicago will happily welcome him back home. Meehan is from the Oak Park area, known for being home to many of\u00a0Frank Lloyd Wright&#8217;s historic designs. Prairie school architecture is known for using simple d\u00e9cor and horizontal lines and flat roofs that would blend into a prairie landscape. Prairie School will be located at 1000 West Fulton Market in the Google building. The space was previously occupied by Smack Shack, a casual seafood restaurant, which closed its doors in February. Fulton Market is certainly a hot area. <a href=\"https:\/\/urbanmatter.com\/the-ruin-daily\/\" target=\"_blank\">The Ruin Daily<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/urbanmatter.com\/kumas-west-loop\/\" target=\"_blank\">Kuma\u2019s Corner<\/a> have opened this summer with <a href=\"https:\/\/urbanmatter.com\/limitless-coffee\/\" target=\"_blank\">Limitless Coffee<\/a> opening soon.
