Visitors are greeted by four relief panels crafted from granite that depict principal concerns of city government: playgrounds, parks, schools, and water supply. In addition, the building includes elegant marble staircases and bronze tablets depicting the past city halls of Chicago.<br \/>\n[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text]City Hall is much more than just the official seat of government in Chicago. With a green roof utilizing revolutionary energy conservation techniques, the building is home to more than 100 species of plants. The best part, this roof is visible from more than 33 nearby buildings, and it\u2019s open to the public during the summer months.<br \/>\nThe offices of City Hall include the mayor, City Clerk, city treasurer, city departments, alderman of Chicago\u2019s wards, and chambers of the Chicago City Council.
