Made possible by donations from legendary singer Lou Rawls, The Cultural Center opened in 2004 and is known for its variety of dancing and art classes. It partners with organizations like the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and Chance the Rapper\u2019s SocialWorks and is one of the neighborhood\u2019s biggest community organizations. Previous performances from its Broadway in Bronzeville series include I Am Fredrick Douglass, Chicago Style Nutcracker, and King of the Policy.
