You can hit up pretty much any of the stream of bars on Milwaukee Avenue in downtown Libertyville and you’re sure to have a great time, but make sure you end up at Mickey Finn’s. This popular bar is often full of all walks of life, from college students to married couples (or both), and is known for bringing in live musicians to set the vibe each night. A makeshift dance floor usually forms in front of the stage, so you can jam without shame with a cheap AF Amber Ale in hand.
This local hub is actually housed in a historically ancient building, dating back to 1917, that has since been renovated into the classically designed pourhouse it is today. Though the drinks are pricey and there’s usually never a moment of peace, that’s kind of what you want out of a Saturday night, amirite?
