About First Ascent Avondale
First Ascent is a rock climbing gym that’s growing in popularity with Chicago residents. Now with four locations in the city, their Avondale gym is located near Kedzie and Addison. It is a valuable resource for serious rock climbers and also welcomes newcomers and casual climbers. In addition to classes for all skill levels, the facility also has yoga sessions and fitness equipment. First Ascent’s Guided Climbing package includes one hour of expert instruction and a second hour to climb and explore the gym independently.
