Chappell Roan has refuted the allegations that she caused Jude Law’s young daughter to cry during a meeting in Brazil.

The “Good Luck, Babe!” singer took to her Instagram Stories on Sunday to share her side of the story, starting with “What I’m really going to do is tell my half of the story today incident that a mother and child got involved with a security guard, who is not mine personal security”.
Roan, whose real name is Kayleigh Rose Amstutz, explained that she didn’t even notice a woman and a child and that no one came up to her while she was having breakfast at her hotel. She also stated that she didn’t tell the security person to talk to the woman and the child, who were later identified as Law’s former wife Catherine Harding and their 11-year-old daughter, Ada.
“I did not, [and] they did not come up to me. They weren’t doing anything, ” Roan, 28, remarked. She concluded “It is very wrong of security to immediately decide that someone is not good-intentioned when they have no reason to believe because there is simply no action taken to even suggest it, like, that is so far from what I am about.”

Following an argument with a security guard in Brazil, Chappell Roan has made public her apology to Jude Law’s daughter, Ada, and mother, Catherine Harding.
On Sunday the singer talked about the controversy on her Instagram stories and explained that she does not “hate” children and also that she did not direct the security staff to harass the mother and daughter.
“Sorry that mother and child that someone was assuming that you could do something and if you felt uncomfortable, that really makes me sad,” Roan said. “You did not deserve to be treated like that by anyone.”
Roan’s reply followed the criticism of Harding’s husband, Brazilian football player Jorginho Frello, who blamed the singer and her security for the stepdaughter’s crying at a hotel in São Paulo. Frello said on Instagram that his daughter had been “very ecstatic” to see Roan, a well-known musician whom she “really admires, or used to ​‍​‌‍​‍‌​‍​‌‍​‍‌admire”.

Jorginho Frello, the Brazilian soccer player, revealed that his stepdaughter, Ada, was left disturbed by the events that involved Chappell Roan’s security personnel at a hotel in São Paulo.
Frello stated that Ada saw the singer at breakfast but decided not to go up to her. “She just walked past the singer’s table, checked to make sure it was her, smiled, and then returned to the table with her mom, ” he said, explaining that she “didn’t say anything” or ask for anything.
He claimed that shortly after, a “big” security guard came up to Harding and Ada and conversed in a very “aggressive” way, accusing the child of “disrespect” and “harassment” and even threatening to make a report to the hotel. “My daughter was scared out of her wits and she cried a lot, ” said Frello, also wondering how one can be charged with harassment merely by looking at someone.
Frello concluded his letter by addressing Roan personally, “Without your fans you would be nobody. And to the fans, she does not deserve your affection.”
Back in March 2015, Jude Law, 53, and Catherine Harding became parents to Ada who was born after their breakup.
