Camryn Magness, a musician who worked with One Direction and Cody Simpson, has passed away at the age of 26.
According to a source, the incident occurred on December 5 when she was fatally struck while riding an electric scooter.
It reads, “Our hearts are heavy as we mourn the loss of our beloved Camryn, a radiant force whose voice, coy, and bright spirit touched so many.” The statement continued, “The announcement of her passing was made on her Facebook page on Tuesday, December 9, along with a video of her ocean diving in scuba gear.”
“She was incredible and brave and kind in the way she met life, whether it was under the water or on the stage. We will always remember her in the silence of the waves, where she will always be there.”
“Rest in Melbourne, our beautiful girl. You are very loved and forever treasured,” the release ​‍​‌‍​‍‌​‍​‌‍​‍‌added.

When Magness was 8, she started her music career which she mentioned in her Teen Vogue 2012 interview. Magness made a demo, sent it to Jeff Pringle who later became her manager, and then worked on the song “Wait and See” with the band Blessed by a Broken Heart. The song was eventually used in the movie Judy Moody and the Not Bummer Summer that came out in 2011.
Before the single hit theaters, Magness started uploading YouTube videos of herself singing, eventually catching the attention of Greyson Chance and Cody Simpson. She was the opening act for them on the Waiting 4U Tour in 2010, and later, she also accompanied Chance on his 2012 arena tour as a fellow artist.
In fact, the same year she toured with One Direction on their first headlining Up All Night Tour for seven shows in Connecticut where she was the opening act. In 2013, the band invited her back to open on their Take Me Home ​‍​‌‍​‍‌​‍​‌‍​‍‌Tour.
