Brigitte Bardot Corrects the Record on “Fake News” Death Rumors
Brigitte Bardot put a stop to the news of her death that circulated widely and were disavowed by a post on X, after a claim by influencer Aqababe (Aniss Zitouni), 27, that was deleted shortly after. “I do not know which idiot is the one who started this ‘fake news’ about my disappearance,” Bardot wrote in French on Oct. 22. “But know that I am quite well and I have no intention of leaving the stage. One word to the wise.”
Her message is coming almost a week after the French newspaper Var-Matin had reported that the 91-year-old actress was hospitalized in Toulon for nearly three weeks.

Influencer Aqababe was said to have, in a post which has now been removed, made the claim that he had “exclusive information” about the death of Brigitte Bardot and even went as far as to say “her coffin was Saint‑Paul‑de‑Jarrat in the Ariège department made for her.” The post wrote, “An icon has left us,” and was later deleted. After the video, Bardot denied the rumor, saying she is “doing well.”

After Bardot’s denial, influencer Aqababe wrote a message to a now-deleted post informing that it is not Bardot who is managing her X account and thus, a proof will be “when the AFP will officially announce the death”.

Brigitte Bardot Is in Good Spirits Following a Minor Operation
The condition of the animal world icon was first described as “worrying” by people close to her but they still anticipated that she will be allowed to go home after her hospital stay of almost three weeks. After the intervention, Bardot’s office communicated to AFP (via Reuters) on Friday, Oct. 17, that everything went off without a hitch with the “minor surgery” locally. After the operation at the Saint‑Jean Private Hospital in Toulon, she is said to have expressed her gratitude to the medical staff and the surgical team and informed them that she is taking some rest at home.
