Blake Lively’s Rep Calls Extortion Claim a “Recycled Distraction”

Lively’s representative told E! News on October 14 that they did not take the extortion claim seriously by saying, “The court rejected their ‘taking over a movie’ nonsense allegation very early on and this so-called picking of one deposition line from the previous agent of Baldoni before he was dropped from WME doesn’t bring anything new.”
The representative of the star emphasized that the ongoing dispute in court is “not click-bait” and therefore very serious, “They are just recycling the same distraction tactics. This has nothing to do with the sexual harassment and retaliation lawsuit that Baldoni and the Wayfarer Defendants are the parties to, which is the core of the matter.”

Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni’s Dispute Went to Court

The disagreement between the two of them regarding their point of view was so great that it ended up in court when they chose to bring in lawyers. In December, Blake Lively sued Justin Baldoni and his production company, Wayfarer Studios. She alleged that Baldoni sexually harassed her on the set of It Ends With Us and that she was defamation sued as a form of retaliation.
In response to such accusations, a month later, Justin Baldoni filed a counterclaim against Lively, her husband Ryan Reynolds, and their publicist Leslie Sloane. He also added a defamation lawsuit against the New York Times regarding its report on Lively’s complaint. However, judges have dismissed all these cases.
There will be a hearing to discuss the case between Lively and Baldoni and Wayfarer on October 26. The official trial is scheduled for March 2026.
