According to reports, Al Pacino is filled with regret over the fact that he never married Diane Keaton following their off-and-on relationship that lasted almost 20 years.
Keaton, who passed away in California on Saturday at the age of 79, was the love interest of Pacino in The Godfather trilogy, and they became an item in 1974. After Keaton gave Pacino a choice and he declined to promise to get married, they separated for good in 1990.
Pacino, who is 85 now, has a source telling the Daily Mail in a report published on Sunday that he wishes he had married the late actress.

“He understands that Al Pacino will always regret that he didn’t take the chance when he was able,” said a friend of Al Pacino to the media. “In the long time after they separated, Al was constantly saying, ‘If it’s meant to be, it’s never too late for a do-over.’ But now, unfortunately, it isn’t one any more.”
