Ray Stevens Recovers at Home After Fracturing Neck from a Fall
Country music icon, Ray Stevens, 87 years old, was admitted to the hospital in Nashville on March 29th when he broke his neck due to a fall. Physicians have recommended that he uses a neck brace for about a month. An announcement on his Instagram dated April 7 stated that Stevens is recuperating at home, capable of walking independently, and is in high spirits. Since then, his fans have expressed their thoughts and prayers for his quick healing.

This latest injury has worsened Stevens’ list of health problems. Last summer, the Country Music Hall of Famer was forced to cancel a number of shows as a result of undergoing minimally invasive heart surgery after a mild heart attack. A press release in July mentioned that he was hospitalized in Nashville and successfully underwent a heart catheterization procedure. Nevertheless, Stevens is progressing with his recovery and keeps his high spirits.
Ray Stevens’ First Heart Operation Went Well; Take a Break to Heal, Performances Postponed
After his first heart operation, Ray Stevens was doing well, but his scheduled CabaRay Showroom concerts were called off until July 2025 to give him time to recuperate. One day after the surgery, Stevens was out of ICU and starting physical therapy with the help of a nurse. Through a social media post, he thanked everyone for their wonderful support and said, “Everything is Still Beautiful!!!!”
