Fern‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌ Britton Showed Off A Five-Stone Weight Loss In A Beautiful Dress At The Broadcast Awards

Fern Britton, visibly slimmer after her five-stone weight loss, was the star of the evening at The Broadcast Awards in London on Wednesday night. The 68-year-old presenter dazzled in a shimmering boat-neck gown that perfectly displayed her trim figure.
Fern Britton completed her look by walking out of the gathering with a diamond-studded clutch and wearing pearl earrings. The TV star has been open about her weight and admitted that she has gone from a size 22 to a size 12 and back several times.
One of the significant changes that have contributed to her transformation is leaving This Morning and relocating to Cornwall, where she has done a total health revamp. Moreover, she pointed out that she had done it “naturally” without any kind of surgical procedure or weight-loss ‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌injections.

Fern‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌ Britton Reveals How it was her Shoulder Surgery and Sepsis that Led her to Change her Life

Last year, Fern Britton opened up about her weight loss journey in an interview with Woman & Home. “People always ask if you’ve lost a lot of weight, if you’ve done it naturally. And I can see you and say, ‘Yes, I have,’” she said.
The TV host recalled that the experience of having a shoulder operation made her seriously think about her lifestyle and what she was doing with her life. “I said to myself, ‘I’ve got to get my life back on track. I need to stop smoking, quit drinking, get my eating under control, and stop lying in bed feeling sorry for myself,’” she said.
Britton went through a life-threatening bout of sepsis in 2016, after a hysterectomy, which also made her decide to take better care of her health and getting fit again. ‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌

Fern‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌ Britton Says That After Sepsis Scare and Fitness Drive She’s Stronger Than Ever

Fern Britton has shared her experience of how prioritizing her health has made her feel physically stronger. “I can see that my legs and arms are much stronger; my tummy is a lot stronger after four children and all the other things my body has been through,” she revealed to Hello. “I was very lucky to survive sepsis but even after such a trauma you can still get up, go out, run and be strong again.”
In her fitness journey, Britton adopted the NHS Couch to 5K scheme and kept her fans updated on her progress regularly. In a post on Instagram in September, she declared that she had successfully run 6.5K.
“I simply ran for 40 minutes straight, after a five-minute warm-up walk and then a five-minute cool-down walk at the end,” she ‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌said.

Fern Britton has been revealing the habits that led to her body makeover. She shared with her fans post a running session of 6.5K: “In total 50 minutes but only 40 minutes running. I managed 6.5K, wow I’m surprised – it’s a bit great!”
The TV host has also been into weight training and shared some selfies taken in her home gym. Back in April, she wowed the crowd by showing the various weights she had been using, from dumbbells to a barbell, and flaunting her fit figure.

“It was only then I started thinking about food, which was a completely new thing for me,” she told Woman&Home, and even quoted that consuming “three proper meals a day” is the key to having enough energy for ‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌cycling.
