Christy Martin defends Sydney Sweeney amid Ruby Rose’s criticism
After Ruby Rose criticized the portrayal of Christy Martin in the movie, Sydney Sweeney, Christy Martin just couldn’t stay quiet. She went out of her way to support Sydney Sweeney.
In her Instagram post dated Nov. 12, Martin stated, “I was born and raised as a fighter. My life was a mirror of that in every aspect and now I fight for those who cannot fight.” She posted a picture of herself and Sweeney during filming and wrote, “Last days I saw people insulting Sydney Sweeney, my friend, without knowing the truth. Syd not only thrown down her work for this film, she thrown down her work for me. For my story. For so many others who are silently suffering.”

Rubgy Star Pinded Christy Martin Boxing in Tribute, with the Queen of Roses Not-Buying It
In showing her support, the ex-champion of the world in a very personal and powerful way highlighted: “I want to make it very clear who Sydney really is. Friend and comrade she is not one!”
Pertinently to Martin’s endorsement, Ruby Rose had a skeptical tone when mulling over whether Sydney Sweeney, 28, would be the ideal person to tell the story through a biopic. The movie, a David Michôd directorial effort, came out on Nov. 7 and didn’t do well at the box office, making only $1.3 million in its opening weekend against a $15 million budget and scoring 66 percent on Rotten Tomatoes.
Ruby Rose slams Sydney Sweeney’s portrayal in Christy Martin biopic
Once part of the biopic, Ruby Rose referred to the initial draft of the script as “incredible” and “life changing” in a post on Threads dated Nov. 11. She seemed to be disappointed in the fact that she lost out on roles, but it was Sydney Sweeney’s involvement that she targeted most.
“Her PR talking about it flopping SS did it for the ‘people’ is just rubbish. ‘The people’ are not the ones who hate us and yet this is exactly how they are shown, being us and pretending to hate us,” wrote Ruby. “You wrecked the movie. Period. Christy deserved more than that.”

Sydney Sweeney expresses pride in Christy Martin biopic amid criticism
Sydney Sweeney did not react to Ruby Rose’s remarks, but she showed great pride in being part of the movie.
“I am so deeply proud of this movie,” Sweeney shared on her Instagram account on Nov. 10. “Proud of the film David made. Proud of the story we told. Proud to represent someone as strong and resilient as Christy Martin. This experience has been one of the greatest honors of my life.”
Sweeney pointed out that she is not worried about the biopic “numbers” of the box office, but rather she is thinking of Christy’s career and her advocacy for domestic violence survivors after the incident of her ex-husband in 2010.
“This film is about survival, courage, and hope,” she explained. “If Christy, just by one woman, gave the courage to take her first step toward safety, then we can say that we have accomplished our goal.”

It was something personal that had been brewing—and to clarify that, not something romantic,” he explained.

“Casting was very thorough with Netflix and the production companies. I didn’t suggest my friend for the job,” Tan said on Instagram. “They got the job because they were the best fit for it, not because I facilitated their hiring by removing someone else.”

Madonna and Elton John’s feud started after Elton John’s sarcastic 2004 Q Awards speech
It is well known that the two superstars Madonna and Elton John are not on good terms since 2004. In fact, it was a not-so-funny moment when, at that year’s Q Awards, while receiving the Classic Songwriter Award, Elton John caused a scandal by calling Madonna the “best f–king live act” in a very sarcastic way.
One of the things he said was: “F–k off! Since when has lip-syncing been live? Sorry about that, but I think that everyone who do lip-sync in public on stage, and you pay like 75 quid to see them, should be shot.”
The direct and straightforward remarks led to the dispute that involved these two giants of music for a very long time.

Mariah Carey and Jennifer Lopez’s “feud” for ages, actually started with a simple comment
The supposed fight between Mariah Carey and Jennifer Lopez has been around for more than 15 years. It started when Mariah was interviewed about different singers and, when asked about Jennifer Lopez, she just said, “I don’t know her.”
That one sentence was enough to ignite nonstop rumors and articles for years about a fight between two of the biggest pop icons, even though both of them have never publicly responded to it.
