Clark Hunt, CEO of the Kansas City Chiefs, remembers the impact of the couple on the NFL, two years after Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce started dating.
“It certainly gives us a chance to reach out to a different demographic with the fan base,” Hunt told The Hollywood Reporter in an interview published on Aug. 22. “I would bet quite a bit that the Chiefs were ranked No. 1 of all NFL teams for the female demographic.”
Hunt tied the constant media attention on Swift and Kelce as being a major factor in the league’s visibility, pointing out the melding of music and sports cultures.

Kansas City Chiefs CEO Clark Hunt said that the team has a fan base that is now predominantly female, pointing out the “very unique” demographic shift brought about by Taylor Swift’s association with Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce. “No doubt, she has made a huge difference,” said Hunt to The Hollywood Reporter.
Besides, as a result of their positive influence on the league, Hunt stated that this is just a bonus. In fact, he already denied the theory that the couple’s relationship was fabricated for publicity purposes. “The first thing to be noted here is how happy we are for Kelce and Swift in their relationship,” he said. “That’s the most important thing.”

“I think it’s very cool for our fans and our fans do consider it very cool of her being there knowing she’s such a great Chiefs fan,” he informed The Hollywood Reporter. “Her being there, it is kind of a different thing out there.”
Swift, 35, has definitely made a name for herself in the football world—she no longer has the sole role of an onlooker watching her boyfriend, the famous tight end, Travis Kelce, who is also 35, but rather has become prominent in her own right.
