A Terrifying and Mysterious Brush with Death
Tamar Braxton tells about a mysterious and scary incident that if she hasn’t been able to say differently, she would have said that she died. The “All the Way Home” singer shared a series of emotive and revealing posts, saying that she was actually left in a very terrible state and a loved one discovered her, which led to her recent rescue from a fatal situation.
“I’ve had a hard time writing this but everyone keeps calling me and honestly, I cannot really talk, I’m so weak,” she shared on her Instagram Stories on August 19. The next line was equally as scary: “I barely survived Sunday. I was discovered in a pool of blood by a friend with a facial injury.”
The 48-year-old couldn’t have been more shocked when she wasn’t any better after being found. The truth is the gray hours that followed were even more painful. “Each day that passes is the worst,” she wrote her thoughts about the unhealed injuries. “I broke my nose, I’ve lost some teeth and some movement.”
Furthermore, Tamar Braxton—who also has a son Logan, 12, with her ex-husband Vincent Herbert—was so scared giving a curious angle to the case by admitting that she had no recollection of the incident. She is full of fear of the unknown yet thankful that the horror has had the desired effect on her life view.
A New Outlook and a Plea for Prayer
After going through this frightening ordeal, she was shaken to her roots and had to rethink pretty much everything. She said, “The way I now look at life is completely different.” While she will have to travel a tiring path for her physical recovery, she still acknowledges that the mental recovery is way harder and therefore she made a one-sentence and very sincere request to her followers: “really pray for me through this.”
Presently, it appears that she was already indicating the seriousness of what she was going through. Just a few hours before she published the complete, awful story, Tamar had posted an extremely simple yet impactful message on her Instagram Stories, a repost that today can be interpreted as a forewarning of her fate: “Thank you God for waking me up today.”
This unfortunate event is not the first time the Braxton Family Values star has had a health problem, though. The singer recalled a scary moment back in December 2022 when what had only been flu symptoms rapidly turned into a situation where she could barely survive. Once she was out with friends for Christmas shopping, and “the VERY NEXT DAY I had to be taken to the hospital by AMBULANCE,” she said in a post that she has since deleted. The moment was so intense that she “needed oxygen cause I thought God was taking me home cause I could not breathe and my chest was on FIRE!!” The disease, which she claimed was “hella contagious,” made her give a very clear and strong warning to her followers at that time, asking them “please be careful” and have a safe holiday at home.
