In what is quite a shocking and rather intimate disclosure, Dave Grohl the lead singer of Foo fighters has a fourth daughter but for the first time out of his wedlock. The information regarding the news came from the One and Only Grohl who posted it on Tuesday via Instagram. In the note, Grohl did not shy away from stating that he hopes he will do all things for his young daughter as a dedicated husband. “I plan to be a loving and supportive parent to her,” he wrote. He acknowledged the complexity of the situation, stating, “I love my wife and my children, and I am doing everything I can to regain their trust and earn their forgiveness.”
Grohl’s statement brought to light the concern about the family especially in this difficult time. As the family continues to deal with the challenges, he thanked the public for their understanding and for being sensitive to the needs of the young ones in particular. “We appreciate your understanding of the situation with all the kids and we hope we can proceed in our joined fight,” he said. Perhaps in an attempt to avoid undue sensation and abusive remarks about the issue, Grohl closed comments on the post.
The fateful announcement was similarly met with fans who disappointingly lamented that Grohl’s 18-year old daughter Violet has taken off her Instagram, which she had previously not used. It is not clear if it was related to the announcement or she had simply deleted it prior to that, but people were curious about the events. Over twenty years, the Grohl’s family has been together since she married his wife, Jordyn Blum, with their two daughters Harper 15, and Ophelia 10. Meeting Jordyn Blum
In 2007 Dave Grohl shared the story about how he first met his future spouse Jordyn Blum, this particular memory, brought forth by Uproxx, is remarkably one of a chance meeting. Grohl remembered that it all began with him and Taylor Hawkins hanging in a whiskey bar at the Sunset Marquis Hotel. “Taylor was the looker,” Grohl confessed, explaining that women often approached Hawkins rather than himself. “Girls would send him drinks,” Grohl said, describing Hawkins’ magnetic presence.
Grohl, fresh from a session with Tenacious D, was far from dressed to impress. “I’ve got on some Vans trainers with no socks, dirty shorts and a T-shirt, what is wrong with me,” he recounted, embracing the shameful feelings of self-inflicted isolation within the elite classes of Hollywood. Hawkins, on the other hand, was busy with a ‘bombshell’ who was all over him, rather this lady was signalling for her friend—Jordyn. With an air of embarrassment, Grohl was reminiscing when he uttered the words, “Oh my God. Not a chance!”
