5 Simple Yet Effective Home Remedies For Oily Hair

Aloe Vera

Simply make a cup of black tea as you usually would and allow it to cool. Remove the tea bag or strain the tea leaves before pouring the tea onto your hair and massaging it in. Leave it on for 20 minutes and then rinse. You’ll be surprised at the difference.

Eggs & Lemon Juice

Another effective way of eliminating excess oil is to use the white of two eggs and mix them with a tablespoon of oil. Once you’ve mixed them you can massage the mixture into your hair. It will feel funny but the protein in the eggs is extremely beneficial to your hair and the lemon juice will strip the excess oil. The result is great looking and feeling hair.  

Blow dry

In most cases use the hairdryer to dry and style your hair every day is frowned on. This is because it dries your hair out and is likely to make it brittle. 

However, if you have oily hair then blow drying can be a great way to remove some of the excess oil. The heat will cause oil on your scalp and hair to evaporate, leaving your hair much dryer and looking great.

Clarifying Shampoos

Clarifying shampoos are designed to be natural and remove the build-up of mineral deposits in your hair. At the same time, they will reduce the oiliness of your hair This type of product should be used twice a month and you must proceed with caution. It is harsher than a regular shampoo as it contains specific chemicals. This can be an issue if you have been using hair dye or have sensitive skin.
