5 Simple Yet Effective Home Remedies For Oily Hair

There are several different types of hair including straight, wavy, and curly. Alongside this, you may have oily or dry hair. In other words, everyone’s hair is unique. It is important that you know what type of hair you have and then choose the best possible Haircare products for your hair.

This will ensure your hair is healthy and shines, boosting your confidence and ability to get things done.

Every type of hair needs the right treatment. If you have oily hair you will already know that washing it every day is essential to remove excess oil and ensure your hair looks natural. Fortunately, there are other techniques you can use to remedy oily hair.

Aloe Vera

Aloe vera is a useful cream to have at home as it soothes the pain of a burn, sting, or bite. It has natural anti-inflammatory properties which help to ensure any irritation disappears.

You can mix some aloe vera gel with three tablespoons of lemon juice and add it to your regular shampoo. Wash your hair as normal and within a few washes, you’ll notice that your hair isn’t as oily looking.

Black Tea

Black tea is effective at darkening your hair and preventing greys from appearing. It is also a useful item in your fight against oily hair. Simply make a cup of black tea as you usually would and allow it to cool. Remove the tea bag or strain the tea leaves before pouring the tea onto your hair and massaging it in. Leave it on for 20 minutes and then rinse. You’ll be surprised at the difference.

Eggs & Lemon Juice

Another effective way of eliminating excess oil is to use the white of two eggs and mix them with a tablespoon of oil. Once you’ve mixed them you can massage the mixture into your hair. It will feel funny but the protein in the eggs is extremely beneficial to your hair and the lemon juice will strip the excess oil. The result is great looking and feeling hair.

Blow dry

In most cases use the hairdryer to dry and style your hair every day is frowned on. This is because it dries your hair out and is likely to make it brittle.

However, if you have oily hair then blow drying can be a great way to remove some of the excess oil. The heat will cause oil on your scalp and hair to evaporate, leaving your hair much dryer and looking great.

Clarifying Shampoos

Clarifying shampoos are designed to be natural and remove the build-up of mineral deposits in your hair. At the same time, they will reduce the oiliness of your hair This type of product should be used twice a month and you must proceed with caution. It is harsher than a regular shampoo as it contains specific chemicals. This can be an issue if you have been using hair dye or have sensitive skin.
