A Quiet Place II
The sequel of Quiet Place didn’t fail to impress the critics and audiences. The Quiet Place is a critically acclaimed horror film written and directed by John Krasinski, who made audiences deadly afraid of the silence.
The sequel picks up on day 474 after the dangerous creatures invaded the earth. Anything that moves or makes any kind of noise gets devoured by them almost instantly. Evelyn (Emily Blunt) is on a mission to find other humans, as she witnessed the death of her child and husband.
Fortunately, they have found that the noise made from the cochlear implant of their deaf daughter Reagan (Millicent Simmonds) can be used as a deadly weapon against the aliens. On their way from the farm, they are followed by a creature that attacks them. Luckily, Emmet (Cillian Murphy) takes them to his safe haven – an abandoned steel factory, which has a soundproof bunker.
But, they know that is only a temporary solution to their problems. Reagan feels that there are other humans out there and convinces Emmet to go with her to find them on a nearby island. Of course, nothing goes according to the plan. Not only do they feel threatened due to the alien invasion, but also there are humans who want to exploit the new vulnerable situation. This is a very well-made horror film with nerve-wracking scenes that will make you hold your breath as you watch it.
Friends – The Reunion
HBO Max is delivering nostalgic TV shows to the small screen. Whether you are excited to watch And Just Like That – which is the sequel to the famous HBO TV show Sex and the City, or you can wait to see your favorite Potterheads from the Harry Potter reunion, there is an increasing number of reunions shows and reboots that are set to take you back in time.
Friends –The Reunion was one of the most-watched specials on HBO Max, and for a good reason. We got to hang out with our favorite cast and also see some famous celebrity guests gush over, well, the original friends, including Lady Gaga, Ariana Grande, Justin Bieber, and other huge artists.
The reunion didn’t touch on, however, on more tricky questions. So, there was no mention of Jennifer’s relationship with Brad Pitt and subsequent heavily publicized divorce. Or the now well-known personal issues of Matthew Perry. But, it did delve into the genuine friendship and relationships between Jennifer Aniston, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry, and Lisa Kudrow.
The familiar chemistry will make you feel fuzzy and warm inside, and you will enjoy the anecdotes about famous scenes and answers to some pressing questions like – whether Ross and Rachel were really on a break?
It’s also worth mentioning that the writers were interviewed for the special. Therefore, anyone that’s interested in the writing process and how Friends came to be will get an exclusive glimpse into that also.
