Langtang Gosainkunda trekking is one of the most popular and astonishing trekking trails in Nepal. It is the combination of the Tamang culture, holy Gosainkunda Lake, Tibetan Monasteries, primitive Tibetan style houses, beautiful landscape, a nice waterfall, moderate trekking tour with the flamboyance of majestic mountains. The yak cheese factory is equally famous in this area.
This trekking route includes Langtang Valley and the holy Gosainkunda Lake located at 4300 meters. It includes majestic Himalayan views, glaciers, the most popular lakes, and a steep and decent climate.
3 Days Langtang Gosaikunda Trekking is similar to Manaslu Circuit Trek in Nepal. Thus, it’s moderately difficulty in trekking grade, and also the route is quite long.
3 Days Langtang Gosaikunda Trek Route
For the initiation of the Langtang Valley with Gosainkunda hike, we first have to travel from Kathmandu to Syafru Besi in an 8-9 hours long overland journey. To reach Syafru Besi, we have two different routes. We can either go there by using the Nagdhunga Roadways or Kakani.
I would highly recommend all the trekkers to go by a private vehicle as it is more luxurious, secure, and comfortable. At Syafru Besi we will take a break from our journey and have breakfast. After that, we will be heading towards the Pahiro Thaplo Bamo trek. We will therefore stay there in a hotel and our next destination will be Kyanjin Gompa.
Keeping in mind the acclimatization, we will significantly guide you towards Tsekuri which is at a height of 4983 meters. There you will be able to enjoy the amazing view of the Langtang Himalayan range.
From the very Kyanjin Gompa Trail, we will continue to descend to Pahiro Thaplo. And via Chandan Bari Cholang pati Lauribiniya, we will ascend to Syafru Besi and finally reach Gosainkunda Lake, the final destination of 3 days Langtang Gosainkunda Lake Trek.
Located at an altitude of 4,380 meters in the Rasuwa District, Gosainkunda Lake has a surface of 13.8 meters. It has been designated as a Ramsar site in late September 2007. This lake melts down to form the Trishuli River and it remains frozen during the winter season from October to June.
After visiting the holy Gosainkunda Lake, we will continue descending down to Dhunche. From there, you can wish to visit the very famous Nuwakot durbar made by the late Prithvi Narayan Shah. And then back to Kathmandu.
This way 3 days Langtang Gosainkunda Trek will end.
